Burton Family Vacation

Edmund Burton, the patriarch of the Burton Clan purchased land in Shreveport, La and in 1888 forged a home that was the beginning of the Burton Family in Caddo Parish. Frank Burton the great grandson of Edmund, settle on the land after marrying Louise Cook. Frank (Papa) passed away in 1996, leaving behind his wife (Weezy), six children and five grands. In order to stay connected the family members decided to meet each year, and the Burton Family Vacation (BFV) was birth. The first BFV took place in Shreveport (1999). Since then over the last 24 years the Burton Family and friends have held vacations in Houston Tx, Atlanta Ga, Suisun Ca, Orange Beach Al, Charleston SC, Washington DC, Jacksonville Fl, Hot Springs Ak, San Antonio Tx, New Orleans La, Bahamas (Cruise), Virtually (COVID), and Los Angeles/Moreno Vally Ca. The family has grown to nearly fifty members and friends and other relatives have become regular attendees, enjoying in the festivities and family time.
